Dear Parents and Guardians',
"Success comes to those who work intelligently and stays with those, who don’t rest on the laurels of the past."
Welcome to Nobel Academy Secondary School, situated in the heart of Kathmandu in New Baneshwor.
Our school's purpose is to educate the children of the world to take their productive place as leaders in the global community by offering our learners a comprehensive education from grade 1 to grade 12.
We live today in a world that is so very different from the one we grew up in, the one we were educated in. The world today is changing at such an accelerated rate and we as educators need to pause and reflect on this entire system of education. Are our schools well equipped to prepare our children to face the challenges that the future holds?
Children must be taught how to think, not what to think,” and to enable this, Knowledge, Imagination and Innovation is encouraged through a holistic approach. "TO MOTIVATE THE WEAK, TO ADDRESS THE AVERAGE AND CHALLENGE THE GIFTED".A committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, caring and co-operative parents blend harmoniously to create a child-centric school. It is natural to find in this ambience, the intensive use of a variety of thinking activities, strategies and group dynamics so that the classrooms become alive.
We have a culture of high expectations for students and staff alike and it is our sincere goal that each and every one of our student graduates with a plan for the future and with the skills necessary to be successful in anything they do. The combination of focusing on our students’ academic success as well as their social and emotional well-being creates an environment where our students do amazing things every year.
As the new Principal of Nobel, I am delighted that the school’s values align with my own personal values, including the importance of trust, respect, innovation and a sense of community.
Aristotle once said that, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” As we impart education to match the advancement in technology and globalization, we march our children ahead with Nobel Academy's ethos of moral values and principles.
The curriculum at Nobel emphasizes the acquisition of knowledge, understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities for all students attending our school. We believe that every learner is unique and special and that they all have the ability to learn. It is our goal to use various teaching and learning strategies such as: Life Skills, Lifelong Guidelines, Multiple Intelligences, Bloom's Taxonomy, and Cooperative Learning. We accept the challenge to meet the needs of our school community socially, emotionally, academically, and physically. We believe it is our responsibility as educators to nurture and develop every learner to prepare them for life. Learners are continually encouraged to appreciate our diverse community and to care for others by becoming global citizens, and develop a concern and active respect for the environment.
Teamwork is the hallmark of Nobel Academy Secondary School. I am very sure through collaborative effort we can achieve more to benefit our students who are the future leaders of tomorrow. We work together as a team with the family, school, and community to encourage and motivate all students to reach their fullest potential. We work to protect the self-esteem of each individual.
Your words of encouragement, a hug when the day has been rough and tough, your interest in your children’s work, and your presence at school are vital!
Parents count! Come to school, meet us, talk to us, join the PTM and volunteer your time and energy. Your involvement will show your children that you value their education. Let’s work together!
Educationally Yours,
Babita Labh Kayastha
